Former WhatsApp cybersecurity chief's whistleblower suit dismissed

A federal judge dismissed a former WhatsApp executive's whistleblower suit, finding he failed to plausibly allege protected activity tied to securities or fraud violations under Sarbanes-Oxley protections.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler dismissed a lawsuit by WhatsApp's former head of cybersecurity alleging he was fired for bringing up possible violations of a Federal Trade Commission order.
