Lawsuit seeks to block abbreviated ballot name for OC judge
Petition asks court to require Judge Ami Sheth Sagel to use her full name on the June primary ballot and strike parts of her candidate statement.
A retired federal prosecutor filed a lawsuit to stop an Orange County Superior Court judge from appearing on the June 2 primary ballot under an abbreviated name, urging a judge to order the county registrar of voters to block what he calls an unlawful and misleading listing before ballots go to print on March 27.
