2 more settlements approved in OCDA harassment scandal
The settlements follow a cascade of harassment claims tied to prior leadership in the district attorney's office. Six employees initially filed complaints alleging workplace misconduct. Two cases resulted in jury verdicts totaling $6.5 million, while two others settled earlier for a combined $1.3 million. Four additional lawsuits remain pending.
Orange County supervisors approved $1.85 million in settlements in February to resolve workplace harassment lawsuits brought by two prosecutors against the Orange County District Attorney's Office, adding to a growing series of legal payouts and verdicts that have exposed the county to more than $8 million in liability in related cases.
