Musk lawyer warned forcing Twitter deal would mean WW3, jury told
Twitter's former deal lawyer testified Musk's attorneys issued threats and hinted at consequences if the company forced the merger, as a securities trial over Musk's statements continued in federal court.
Nearly two months after Twitter sued Elon Musk in July 2022 to enforce the merger agreement the two sides had signed that April, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati partner Martin W. Korman, who represented the company through the acquisition, says he received a phone call.
On the line was his former colleague, Michael S. Ringler, who had moved to Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates and was representing Musk.
