Cardrooms sue Bonta over rules they say could shut down blackjack

California cardrooms sued Attorney General Rob Bonta to block new Department of Justice regulations they say would effectively ban blackjack and other "player-dealer position games," threatening jobs and local tax revenue.

Warning of business collapse and declining local revenues, California cardrooms have sued California Attorney General Rob Bonta to block new regulations they say could force them out of business.

The California Gaming Association's dual complaints claim the Department of Justice exceeded its authority by issuing rules barring cardrooms from offering blackjack and so-called "player-dealer position games."

The complaints were filed late Friday in San Francisco...
