Edison doubles legal fees reimbursement in Eaton Fire recovery program
Southern California Edison doubled legal fee reimbursements to 20% in its Eaton Fire recovery program after 32% of claims involved attorneys or authorized representatives, as lawsuits continue and more than $183 million in settlement offers have been extended.
About 32% of Eaton Fire victim claims to Southern California Edison's non-litigation Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program have been submitted by an attorney or authorized representative, the company announced.
As a result, Edison has adjusted its program, doubling the reimbursement for legal expenses to 20%, although its application program allows for participation without attorneys.
