Despite about 80% of the jury pool indicating they held strong beliefs about Elon Musk, Senior U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer seated nine jurors Thursday in a securities lawsuit against the Tesla CEO over his 2022 takeover of Twitter, which he renamed X.
The question, Breyer said, isn't whether they have opinions about Musk but whether they could set those aside to judge the case fairly.
