Wisner Baum calls client data breach suits 'meritless,' 'frivolous'

Proposed class actions allege a 2025 breach exposed sensitive client data at Wisner Baum, prompting negligence claims, privacy law allegations, and disputes over cybersecurity practices, delayed notice, and resulting harms.

A string of proposed class actions has been filed against Wisner Baum LLP, accusing the Los Angeles firm of negligence after an October 2025 data breach allegedly exposed the Social Security numbers and sensitive medical records of thousands of clients and employees to unauthorized third parties.

Wisner Baum said Wednesday the lawsuits are "frivolous" and "meritless."
