Former Twitter workers bow out of appeal, firm files new ERISA suit with other plaintiffs
Former Twitter employees filed a new proposed ERISA class action alleging Musk and X denied promised severance, reviving claims dismissed in district court as the 9th Circuit reviews whether the plan qualifies and the original named plaintiffs bow out.
Lawyers for former Twitter employees have filed a new proposed class action on Friday, claiming Elon Musk and X Corp. failed to pay more than $500 million in severance benefits owed under federal benefits law.
The complaint continues claims that were dismissed by a federal judge in a related case that remains pending before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal, though its named plaintiffs have retained new counsel and say they do not want to appeal.
