Former state solicitor general to join WilmerHale
Michael Mongan, who served six years as solicitor general, argued major cases for the state, including the Proposition 12 challenge. Last month, Attorney General Rob Bonta named Samuel Harbourt to replace Mongan as solicitor general.
Former California Solicitor General Michael Mongan has joined WilmerHale's Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation Group in San Francisco, the firm announced Thursday.
Mongan, who will start at the firm in December, will focus on complex state and federal appeals and advise on crisis management, strategic response, and state attorney general matters.
