DOJ: Essayli can remain acting US attorney; indictment should stand
The Justice Department urged a federal judge to reject a bid to toss an indictment, arguing the Federal Vacancies Reform Act allows Acting U.S. Attorney Bilal A. Essayli in Los Angeles to serve without having been first assistant when the vacancy arose.





Acting U.S. Attorney Bilal A.
