Trump administration asks Supreme Court to revive TPS revocation

Solicitor General D. John Sauer urged the justices to stay a ruling blocking Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem from ending temporary protected status for Venezuelans, after the 9th Circuit upheld a district court order.

The Trump administration is headed back to the U.S. Supreme Court, two days after a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel rejected the Trump administration's emergency motion to stay a San Francisco judge's ruling that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem unlawfully revoked temporary protected status for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans.
