San Diego criminal defense attorney appointed U.S. magistrate judge
Brian J. White, sworn in Friday, succeeds Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California has appointed criminal defense attorney Brian J. White a U.S. magistrate judge.
White will replace Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks, who was confirmed as a federal district court judge. Chief Judge Cynthia Bashant administered the oath Friday.
