Assembly advances SB 37 targeting 'capping' and deceptive lawyer ads

SB 37 would restrict attorney referral services, clarify rules against deceptive advertising, and let consumers bring civil complaints. Backed by the plaintiffs' bar, the bill now heads toward final Assembly approval with amendments designed to address remaining opposition.
