Residents' protests spur lawsuit over Sacramento Railyards redevelopment plan

A second-tier soccer team's plans for a 12,000-seat stadium in downtown Sacramento face a legal challenge from residents who say their protests were ignored.

A new lawsuit challenges the financing authority behind a proposed professional soccer stadium, intended to be the keystone of the downtown Sacramento Railyards redevelopment.
