ABA sues Trump administration over executive orders targeting law firms
The suit filed in the District of Columbia argues the orders violate constitutional protections, suppress advocacy and chill legal representation for disfavored clients.




The American Bar Association filed a federal lawsuit Monday accusing the Trump administration of violating the Constitution by using executive orders to intimidate law firms that challenge the government, suppress pro bono work and punish attorneys for representing disfavored clients.
