MR Technologies sues Toshiba over patented storage tech
MR Technologies, led by Austrian physicist Dieter Suess, sues Toshiba for infringing patents that revolutionized hard disk drive storage. After a $360M win against Western Digital, the company targets Toshiba's devices.





MR Technologies is seeking another major court win in protection of its patented technology that vastly increased hard disk drive storage capacity. On Tuesday, the Austria-based company sued Toshiba for an alleged unauthorized use of the technology in devices it makes, sells and imports.
