AI firm faces privacy violation lawsuit

National Domestic Violence Hotline callers sue Genesys Cloud Services, alleging its AI software illegally collected personal data without consent, violating federal wiretap laws and California privacy statutes.

A group of National Domestic Violence Hotline callers accused Genesys Cloud Services Inc., an AI-powered customer service software company based in Menlo Park, of eavesdropping on their crisis conversations and collecting their private information without consent.
