Epic asks judge to reject Google's emergency stay
Google asked U.S. District Judge James Donato to pause -- pending appeal -- a preliminary injunction requiring the company to open its Play Store to all app developers. Epic Games says there is no need for a pause. A hearing was set for Friday.
Fortnite maker Epic Games urged a federal judge in San Francisco to reject Google LLC's motion for an emergency stay on an app store injunction ahead of a hearing on Friday.
Google has also asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to grant an administrative stay or expedite briefing on the stay motion without the benefit of U.S. District Judge James Donato's ruling, Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP litigation co-head Gary A. Bornstein
