The city of Los Angeles won summary judgment without leave to amend on Thursday in a long-running legal battle against firefighters over COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Judge Michelle C. Kim ruled that the mandate's expiration rendered moot the plaintiffs' claims that it had violated their constitutional rights by removing unvaccinated firefighters from duty.
