Inexcusable food insecurity among military families
Did you know that on or near every military base in the United States is a food pantry? Did you know that more than one-third of children enrolled at Department of Defense grade schools are eligible for free or reduced-priced lunches? Food insecurity among active duty military families is as shocking as it is inexcusable. It is time to rally ‘round the flag and end this shameful, tragic situation.
