Students sue universities over COVID rules
On Monday, two students at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles sued to block the university’s requirement that all students get inoculated before the fall semester or risk losing on-campus housing and be required to get tested twice a week, stay away from other students and sign papers assuming responsibility if other students become infected.
As the Delta variant fuels a new surge in COVID-19 infections, more governments and private companies are adopting stricter protocols designed to coax more people to get vaccinated, which has prompted lawsuits and experts predict more to come.
