U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott on Wednesday tendered his resignation as the top federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of California, joining two other U.S. attorneys in the state who stepped down or plan to step down by the end of the month to make way for Biden administration appointees.
Earlier this week, President Joe Biden requested the resignations of nearly all of the nation's U.S. attorneys.
