Sacramento Library settles dispute with fundraising foundation
The complaint stated the foundation had unilaterally terminated its memorandum of understanding with the library in 2015 yet continued to raise money for programs outside the library system.
The Sacramento Public Library Authority has settled a dispute with a fundraising foundation over use of its name.
The authority sued the Sacramento Public Library Foundation last year for fraud and trademark infringement. While the foundation had raised money for the library system in the past, the complaint stated it had "unilaterally terminated its memorandum of understanding with the library in 2015."
