DAs take action to notify victims, survivors when state releases dangerous prisoners

On Tuesday, San Diego District Attorney Summer Stephan announced her office has set up a team to find and notify victims when a particular criminal has been released without completing the court-ordered sentence.

State government and court authorities ordered a historic number of a prisoner releases in California, some of them serving life terms for their crimes -- and some district attorneys are not happy.
