Profanity gets employee activists less protection
By making it easier for employers to fire workers who speak profanely, the decision could significantly undermine union and other types of collective activity, some lawyers say.
Employees who make offensive remarks while advocating for better working conditions will have access to fewer protections, due to a National Labor Relations Board decision that some attorneys believe streamlines an overly academic standard, but others say doesn't reflect workplace reality.
