San Francisco DA, supervisor propose disqualifying officers with misconduct history
The resolution urges the San Francisco Civil Service Commission to require the disqualification of any police officer applicant with a sustained finding of conduct such as excessive force; discrimination based on race, national origin, gender or sexual orientation; dishonest reporting or misconduct on another officer.
A resolution co-sponsored by San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin on Tuesday would bar the city police department from hiring officers who have a record of misconduct.
