Judicial Branch sets hearing date for court of appeal nominee
The first black woman to serve on the San Francisco Superior Court, Judge Teri L. Jackson was nominated as an appellate justice last month by Gov. Gavin Newsom, and if confirmed she would be the first black woman to serve on the 1st District court.
A public hearing date has been set to consider San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Teri L. Jackson's nomination to the 1st District Court of Appeal, the Judicial Branch of California announced Thursday.
The state Commission on Judicial Appointments will hear testimony Jan 21. at 11 a.m. in the state Supreme Court courtroom in San Francisco. The commission includes Chief Justice
