Judge rejects gag order on anti-abortion defendants

A judge on Wednesday rejected a proposed prosecution gag order to block anti-abortion defendants — and their lawyers — accused of criminal charges for videotaping Planned Parenthood and other officials even though Deputy Attorney General Johnette V. Jauron said attorney comments may have prompted a “road rage” incident after the testimony of a stem cell company CEO.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A judge on Wednesday rejected a proposed prosecution gag order to block anti-abortion defendants -- and their lawyers -- in a criminal case involving videotaping Planned Parenthood and other officials after a prosecutor said defense attorney comments might have prompted a "road rage" incident following the testimony of a stem cell company CEO.
