Environmental groups sue over Endangered Species Act changes

A coalition of major environmental groups have sued to block changes to the Endangered Species Act announced last week by President Donald Trumps’s administration.

A coalition of major environmental groups have sued to block changes to the Endangered Species Act announced last week by President Donald Trump's administration.

The complaint filed by groups including the Sierra Club and Natural Resources Defense Council is highly technical. Much of it focuses on the redefinition of terms such as "likely" and "future threats" under the terms of the landmark 1973 law.
