Attorney General Xavier Becerra has filed his preliminary opposition with the California Supreme Court to a challenge of a new state law demanding presidential candidates provide their tax returns in order to appear on the primary ballot.
In his 26-page filing, Becerra denies that SB 27 violates the state Constitution and claims the California Republican Party has failed to show an actionable injury from the law. $95
