‘Old Spice’ jingle creator sues Procter & Gamble

Consumer giant Procter & Gamble Company was hit with a lawsuit Monday filed by a composer who says he recorded and exclusively owns the iconic whistle featured in advertisements for Old Spice deodorant.

Consumer giant Procter & Gamble Company was hit with a lawsuit Monday filed by a composer who says he recorded and exclusively owns the iconic whistle featured in advertisements for Old Spice deodorant.

Plaintiff H. Scott Salinas, represented by Doniger / Burroughs attorneys led by Scott Alan Burroughs, says he entered into a license allowing Old Spice to exploit the so-called "Salinas Whistle" for a limited period of time.
