Bankruptcy judge gives potential claimants deadline for suing PG&E over camp fire
The U.S. bankruptcy court overseeing Chapter 11 proceedings for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in connection to the California wildfires has set an Oct. 21 deadline for Camp Fire victims to file legal claims linked to the incident, from injuries, loss of loved ones, homes, businesses and evacuations.
All victims and survivors of the deadly Butte County Camp Fire must file claims with the bankruptcy court by Oct. 21, Judge Dennis Montali of the Northern District of California ruled.
Those impacted by the wildfire who don't file claims before the deadline won't be able to recover money for injuries, evacuations, lost homes or businesses.
