Legislative committee passes bill to curb e-scooter companies

Assembly Bill 1286, requiring shared mobility service providers to obtain permission from the city or county with jurisdiction over the area before planting their banners, received approval from the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee Tuesday.
