Rovi sues Comcast in a new patent infringement lawsuit

Rovi Guides Inc., a company that holds the patent rights associated with the digital video recorder maker TiVo, claims Comcast Corp. has continued to use technologies it acquired through a 2004 licensing agreement in violation of its patents.

Comcast subscribers may want to binge through all the shows they've left idling on their DVRs because a newly filed patent infringement lawsuit could threaten to end the service.
