SAN DIEGO -- Jury selection began Monday in what could be the largest corporate jury trial of the year between Apple Inc. and Qualcomm Inc.

Apple is seeking up to $27 billion in damages, while Qualcomm is seeking up to $15 billion. The two companies have been trading blows over patents and contracts for the last two years in multiple suits, spanning the globe.
