Judge says he is sending complaint against firm to State Bar

A superior court judge denied the plaintiff’s motion Wednesday to disqualify a defense attorney in a civil suit because of a sworn declaration the declarant testified he did not sign. But the judge said he would refer the matter to the State Bar for investigation.

LOS ANGELES -- A superior court judge denied the plaintiff's motion Wednesday to disqualify the defense law firm in a civil suit because of a sworn declaration the declarant testified he did not sign. But the judge said he would refer the matter to the State Bar.

After trial began, the judge told another witness he did not believe his testimony.
