$9M verdict for family of woman killed by police
The family of a mentally ill woman fatally shot by two Long Beach Police officers on Jan. 15, 2017 won a $9M verdict on Friday at the U.S. Central District Court against the city of Long Beach for damages violation of federal civil rights, excessive force, battery and wrongful death.




A jury in federal court awarded $9 million to the family of a knife-wielding woman fatally shot by police officers two years ago in the City of Long Beach.
