How will Masterpiece Cakeshop affect California employers?

In 2012, in Denver, Colorado, a gay couple entered Masterpiece Cakeshop and met with the owner, Jack Phillips, to ask him to create a cake for their wedding. Phillips, a Christian, stated that he does not "create" cakes for gay weddings, but said that he would make "birthday cakes, shower cakes" and sell other baked goods to the couple.
