Legal job market ticks up, though not significantly

The national legal sector gained just 200 jobs in July, according to data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Local data, which lags a month behind national stats, show the legal market gained 100 jobs in June.

Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.


Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 215,000, and the unemployment rate was
unchanged at 5.3 percent, the data reveals. It showed there were 1,122,200 jobs nationwide
