Los Angeles settles water and power suit for $44 million

A class action brought on behalf of residents who were overcharged for utility services may help the city increase its claim value in a separate suit against PricewaterhouseCoopers, who sold them the faulty billing software.

The City of Los Angeles agreed Monday to pay an estimated $44 million to settle a
class action brought by residents who were overcharged on utility bills due to faulty
