A potential class action suit against movie chain Cinemark Theatres over its lack of closed captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing patrons expanded statewide.
On Dec. 22, Berkeley-based Disability Rights Advocates filed an amended complaint in Alameda County Superior Court to include theaters in 24 counties. The group's initial complaint named only theaters and managers in Alameda County.
