Chief Justice Ronald M. George broke ground Tuesday for construction of a new courthouse for Division 3 of the 4th District Court of Appeal in Santa Ana. Seven years in planning, the three-story, 52,000-square-foot building will hold chambers for nine justices - one more than currently on the court - and work space for a staff of 80.
